Fureigh
(they/them)
Fureigh “shreds melodically,” according to Rolling Stone, but they have a not-so-secret tender side. They're currently working on a debut solo album about hopeful love, collective grief, and staying alive even when it hurts.
After five years in the critically acclaimed Brooklyn-based queer rock band the Shondes (“the next Sleater-Kinney?” –VH1), Fureigh co-founded the Homobiles ("the Bay's mainstay queer party punk supergroup" –East Bay Express) with the legendary Lynnee Breedlove (ex-Tribe 8). They're also the new guitarist for Middle-Aged Queers.
Fureigh has improvised with Margaret Cho, shared the stage with queercore icons from Team Dresch, and played guitar in the trans superhero rock opera the Red Shades.
